It is now known as the national flag carrier of Switzerland worldwide. The headquarters of the airline is located in Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg near Basel, Switzerland.

The airline is engaged in operating scheduled passenger flights to more than 100 destinations in 50 countries across the world. The entire flight operations (Both domestic and international services) are managed and operated from the main bases located at Zurich Airport, Lugano Airport, and Geneva Airport.

Apart from operating passenger flight service, the airline also owns Swiss WorldCargo, which provides airport-to-airport air freight services to over 130 destinations in more than 80 countries.

The airline is also one of the significant members of the world's biggest alliance - Star Alliance and also operates as the subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group.
